Welcome to Ham Radio Shack.net

New Sections added (08.16.2006)
Field Day & Special Events

Looks like the script kiddies have hacked the photo site, will redo it and post it here in the near future. (15 May, 2008)

We've recently updated our photo section with the addition of Lighthouses & Lightships, to display images and information about lighthouses and the amateur radio activities that take place on site.

HamRadioShack.net QSL Card Albums

You can now put your favorite, rare, unique, collectible QSL cards online in a section of its own. All QSL cards are welcome: US, DX, SWL, DXpeditions, special events, etc.

We have had this domain for a while now and couldn't figure what to do with it and we came upon an idea the other day which will allow us to utilize it.

Coppermine has been installed on the site and is setup to post and review images from ham shacks (and antenna farms) from around the world.

It's all free and hopefully, as time goes by, it will become a popular place to come for images of ham shacks and antenna farms. Why are we doing this? Just thought it would be a neat way to promote our hobby and let each other look into the shacks of hams around the world. Some would like to post pictures of their shacks, antenna farm, Field Day, Dxpedition or special event but don't want to go through the trouble( or expense) of putting up a web site so they can now do it here free of charge.

Check out our "Contributors" page, no it's not those that gave money but permission for us to use images off of their web site for our photo galleries. This has been a great help in getting some materials online for all to view. If you don't have a web site but want your pictures in our galleries you can register on the gallery (free) and upload your images to the server; once they are uploaded we will need to approve them and them set us an album for your images.

As far as categories go, you can request where you want your images to go; we usually put rigs and shacks into the country of origin. If there is an antenna shot we will also put it in with the shack. If the antenna setup is a bit more involved then we will set up a category in the particular type (HF, VHF, EME, etc.) for them.
